Guild Meeting 3rd August
Guild Meeting 3rd August
At the meeting were Chabat, Ryleen, Genjin, Jhaga, DioKhan, Corigo, Rokalm and Skeen. Also present was an Elder named Mojhaz.
Firstly, Rokalm informed us that this would be his last night in the guild and that he would be leaving the Heritage to pursue other interests.
His time here has not been without its problems but Ryleen wished him good luck in whatever he plans to do next and reminded him that, despite all the differences they had, he is still a friend of the Heritage and would be welcome to return should he wish to do so.
As Rokalm stated, we have battled serpents, enraged Orcs and curses together and such things are not to be forgotten.
Leading on from this, Ryleen raised a point of contention that arisen during her arguments with Rokalm. Namely that, while she is our leader, the oath of loyalty we all swore upon joining the Heritage is still directed at Warlord Snicka.
Out of deference to Zanick during her stewardship, we all held to the idea that Snicka may yet be found alive and well and wishing to reclaim his leadership.
Ryleen believes it is time to let him go. It has been 9 months since the zeppelin crash and we cannot continue with merely a ‘caretaker’ leader.
Our leader must have real authority and Ryleen asked us to make the choice to either give her our oath of loyalty or choose another to become our Warlord. This was, naturally, a great decision for us to make and it was pointed out that whatever we may decide, the spirits and the Loa must be consulted and provide their blessing.
The majority gave their backing to Ryleen and so, provided those not present at the meeting also agree, a great ritual be held to ask Loa Zanza for his blessing. If all goes well, Ryleen will take the title of Warlord in a ceremony lead by Genjin.
Ryleen then asked DioKhan if he would accept the position of our representative to the Forsaken conclave. DioKhan agreed and Ryleen will inform the Conclave of this.
Corigo raised the point that, with Rokalm’s departure, Ryleen no longer had a bodyguard and volunteered to take up the position. While she is quite able to defend herself under normal circumstances, Ryleen accepted that there may come a time when it may be prudent to have a ‘Champion’ and Corigo swore to protect Ryleen without question to her orders.
Finally, Mojhaz was advised to return to us next week if he still wishes to join the Heritage so that Ryleen can interview him properly.
Note: please can everybody pay attention to the Spirit Link for details of the planned ritual.
((in other words, if it’s posted on the calendar, you’ll know about it IC ))

Re: Guild Meeting 3rd August
Last night was most interesting. I'm happy, we've had so much fun with in-guild rp lately.
Last night was a great example of the frictions the current turbulence in troll culture can cause and I'm sure it will continue equally fun, especially if Ry is made Warlord.
Also, it could be worth pointing out that Rokalm isn't just quitting the guild, but rp altogether. I think he'll remain on the server though.

Congratulations, Ryleen! You'll be a great Warlord, if that is the will of the Loa. Ah, the chauvinism of trolls... the name "Warlord" indicates a male leader.
We have an emissary in the Supreme Forsaken Conclave? I am most surprised. Does this mean that the quarrels with the House have been put away? And why does a troll want to serve the Dark Lady? We are taking open-mindedness to a level that was unseen among trolls before. Snicka would not approve of this - but as he isn't around anymore, this doesn't matter. So congratulations, Diokhan, too!

The Conclave isn't only the House, though they seem to be the major member. HoZ were approached by them, and they offered us to send an emissary to be present at their meetings. All in a spirit of communication and alliance, the emissary is meant to be able to report back to us what has been discussed, as well as share news from the west and speak on our behalf in matters that may concern us.
In no way do we trust them, of course. But we saw no harm in sending someone to listen. And who knows, perhaps they're even honest in wanting good contacts with us?

I iz champion!
Sorry, just had to do that. Anyway, I think the meeting went rather well, and in case anyone cares,
it was 5 against 1 for the majority voting. Just thought I'd throw it in there.

yeah, that's one of the reasons Chabat got a bit irritated. She thinks they should make up a new title
Vyp on the other hand thinks its great

As Ryleen said, the emmisary is there to observe and report on what is going on with the Conclave. They do not report to any Forsaken. Arch is asking one person from each guild that is not a member of the conclave to send such an observer to 'keep an eye on things'... ie, i think its a way of stirring up more conflict rp
Of course, i understand that Snicka would object IC. He wouldn't want anything to do with those smelly undead at all right?

Re: Guild Meeting 3rd August
Ry doesn't mind it being an obviously male title. All the better. If a special female one was made up for her, it would sound weak in the ears of those who'd oppose her. Carrying the same title as Snicka did makes a clearer point that she's intending to be just as much leader as he was. Or at least that's how she reasons.
