Guild meeting 16th August

Post  Vypra on Tue Aug 17, 2010 1:15 pm

Guild meeting 16th August

At the meeting were Ryleen, Lahni, Hadunka, Chabat, Guljun, Zoràh, and Euphrati. We were later joined by Gen’jin.

Ryleen informed us that, after conferring with General Stormscream, she consulted Dr. Grymm with regards to confirming the test results given by the Apothecaries of the House. Should the blood test prove the result to be true, Alaster believes he has an idea how to minimise the risk to both Ryleen and her baby during the birth.

The next item concerned Krathok of the Bladewind tribe. The leader of this small group of Orcs seems to have been trying to form alliances by spreading lies and rumours, namely between us and the House of Sylvanas. Fortunately, the new found co-operation between our two guilds meant that Lord Xoran was willing to consult with Chieftain Krathok.

Rather than admit being caught out in his deception, the Orc declared that Ryleen had insulted his honour and demanded she face him in an honour duel. Naturally, our Matriarch refused and so Krathok declared war upon the Heritage.

Eyewitness accounts, given after Ryleen was escorted from the scene for her safety, reported that Kaz’jo took it upon himself to bring the ‘war’ to swift conclusion by beating up the Orc until he surrendered at which point Krathok was detained by members of the House for further questioning.

Further to last week’s impromptu conference regarding the Oil rig, the House are moving ahead with their plans to re-build and operate the installation. Ryleen has imposed a number of conditions upon them with regard to minimising impact to the local wildlife and environment. Hadunka will be monitoring the situation and plans to meet with Xoran to establish our expectations.

To test how much flexibility exists in our agreement with the House regarding our territories, Ryleen suggested that we find a small area of land in forsaken land, preferably not too distant from the Undercity, to set up in. In theory, the presence of the House in Stranglethorn entitles us to do the same somewhere within their borders.

The official story will be that we plan to investigate how the few remaining human farmers in Tirisfal have managed to grow healthy crops in such befouled conditions. Should we be able to get the agreement of the forsaken still inhabiting Cold Hearth Manor, we will be able to use that as a base from which we can observe the Humans operating Solliden farmstead and acquire samples of their crops for testing.

Next, Ryleen handed over the treasurer’s duties to Hadunka and Gen’jin before asking for news of Razeal. Our forsaken friend has gone off on his own and any information on his whereabouts should be reported to Ryleen.

Lahni has taken responsibility for finishing the roof on our town hall in Razeal’s absence but any help that can be given on the construction will be appreciated.

Since we now have our new meeting place, Had requested that the old one now be set aside as a metal working and engineering shed. The stone walls will be the best place to house the workshop and it will be available for anybody that needs to use the facilities once it has been refitted.

We should soon see the benefits as Hadunka believes he can now begin on the new water system and the first hose should be in place near the herb garden by next week.

Euphrati gave us a quick briefing on the situation in the Undercity with the Kor’kron guards one again taking over from the Blades. The constant supervision is not sitting well with the House and so she recommended using a good deal of tact when we try to set up our little experimental farming project on their turf.

Finally, Hadunka warned us about the panther cubs’ increasingly boisterous behaviour. They have now reached adolescence and have become quite mischievous. Had and the adult panthers will try to keep them in check so report any problems to him.

Progress reports on our projects can be given to Ryleen whenever she is available.

A busy meeting last night. Smile There's so much going on in the guild right now, and this is just the official guild stuff, I know there's plenty of personal plots happening too.

Now, right before the expansion, is a time when many people have difficulties in keeping activity up. But not us! The valley has become exactly what I hoped it to be, a place where you can almost always find some casual rp. The guild is running great, with everything from little personal plots to guild politics going on. We may not be many, but we're active and enthusiastic.

You guys are awesome! I love you

I wanted to add the tournament plot brief as well, but thanks to connection death, I couldn't. Sorry!

WE ARE AWESOME!
And as Ry said is it a group effort ... but a group effort led by a hand *Bows before Ry'jin*

And kaz .. it is not your fault .. and we can have that debref next monday Very Happy

Regarding the meeting notes .. I have some pointers. Most of it is semantics rely .. but still.

First of there is no mention of the Order getting in to the war by the orc declaring war upon them. Thus they might be our allies. Also (dunno if we know this IC yet) the orc have declared that the war is indide not over and as son as he can get away from the house ... it is on. (more dishonour for him imo). And Ry was not escorted away (but I believe that was what was said IC though) as her AO Ambassador friend Leamhan literary spirited her away from the location by magic.

Also if you mean by starting to assembly the water system Hadunka begins it now you are correct ... but he have bin working on the pipes and the pumps as well as making plans for how to do it for the better part of 2 mount's now (I believe it is).

I agree. I often hear people saying RP is dying out before Cataclysm... but I don't ever see it myself. Laughing

Actually the notes are fairly correct, Had.

1: Ry worded it as Leamhan escorting her away when she told the story, rather than telling what he actually did

2: Ry was icly told by Xoran that Krathok wants to continue the war. Oocly, Krathok says he will not.

feed back is always greatly appreciated Smile

That said, i don't write -everything- word for word or impartially (as a good scribe should Razz). Sometimes 'Bats' own interpretation of what has been said gets included instead Very Happy

With regards to the bit about Krathok declaring war on the AO, It seems that Ry mentioned this sort of as an aside and it seems certain that if he surrendered to Us, there's little chance of him taking on the AO (and Ry did report that Yrjial found the whole idea amusing rather than seeing it as a threat Laughing ).
