Guild Meeting 18th Jan

At the meeting were Stargazer, Yahsadin, Ryleen, Chabat, Tamb’jika, Zalume, Hadunka, Brother Rooke, Meegon and Sertah.

Firstly, Ryleen introduced those present to the eldest of the Orphans she is adopting. Mok seemed a little quiet in the face of all the scrutiny but I’m sure, with time, he’ll become used to our ways.

Ryleen then gave a brief report on the Horde’s latest defeat in the ongoing campaign against the Alliance in the Eastern Kingdoms. The Tactical prowess and discipline of the forces lead by the Human commander known as Elena overwhelmed the Horde defences and Kargath was overrun.

However, Ryleen’s main concern is what will come next. Thus far, the hostilities may have had a chance of coming to end should either side concede that their reasons were more a case of habitual enmity rather than for any good reason…that will change should the proposed plans for the Horde to go on the offensive and begin reprisals against Alliance civilians be put into action.

Ryleen proposed that we should attempt to bring an end to this appalling situation firstly, by refusing to join this offensive and secondly, by trying to bring some sense to those in charge of the two opposing forces. Our main difficulty in this lies in the fact that we could easily be accused of treachery against our allies. We will have to tread very carefully.

Sertah and Hadunka will accompany Ryleen to the next Pact meeting where she will present her proposal to the other members but she has asked us all to try and come up with more ideas to try and bring an end to this sorry situation.

On a lighter note, the next item was one that should come as good news to us all. Ryleen has happened upon a ‘lost’ valley up in the eastern hills of Stranglethorn Vale.
Several people have had the chance to visit already but Ryleen described to us a place full of opportunity.

The valley houses several old stone temples, the ruins of two villages and more besides. We will add it to the lands we have already reclaimed and restore the villages so that we can finally have a place of our own to call home. Sertah has already been spending a great deal of time there and should be able to show around any who wish to visit.

However, this is a project that will take some time to fully realise. Our first task must be to repair the bridges giving access to the valley followed by gaining the trust of the ancient spirits that reside there. Ryleen plans to ask for the aid of all available Shaman in the blood pact to assist us with the ritual. Once this is achieved, we will need to build a small camp near the valley entrance while we work on restoring the old villages and find a source for all the materials we will need for the reconstruction.

Yahsadin (formerly, our Blood elf freethinker Lyranne) then divulged the reasons for her prolonged and most recent absence. The troll whose body she now finds herself in, appears to have been what Ryleen called a ‘body thief’. The poor female who was the original ‘owner’ was sacrificed to enable the one that attacked Yahsadin to have a disguise.

However, after a binding ritual to secure her spirit to the new body and the re-dedication to her patron Loa by means of the tattooing ceremony, Yahsadin is finally among us once more as the troll many of us have always seen her to be in spirit.

Finally, there was the sad reminder that Gen’jin must soon leave us to try and release himself from the bargain he made with Ancestor Zen’Zil. Those who wished to meet his challenge and put themselves forward for the chance to become our new Primal were as follows: Hadunka, Yahsadin, Sertah and Tamb’jika.

Please pay heed to the spirit link for Gen’jin’s summons to the Gurubashi arena where he will issue his challenge.

((The body what Yahsadin possesses now used to belong to my dear little troll shaman, Tinga, whom I never played, and levelled up to no more than lvl 5, so I didn't mind killing her off. Her body went to Ras'teth in the only notable thing the short-living Zul'jin guild has done.))

(( Noooo, we've had meeting notes that are much longer than this, Ryleen. Have you forgotten the guild meeting on 28th July 2008? Liontooth had been captured by the House of Sylvanas, you were on trial in Orgrimmar and the evil Tivak was still on the loose? Those notes are more than twice as long.

Our guild now has such a long and eventful history that sometimes it's easy to forget some of the exciting times that we've lived through. ))
