The search for a new Primal Empty The search for a new Primal

Post  Vypra Tue Jan 12, 2010 7:25 pm

"As my Final order, as Primal. I hereby order all, who seek to replace me.. Meet me in the Gurubashi Arena.."

Gen'jin's words wouldn't leave her thoughts. How would they go on without him?

The warlord and her second in command often had their disagreements but Chabat was pretty sure Ryleen had come to rely on Gen'jin's gruff challenges to her decisions. Going through them, providing clear counters to his arguements or ammending her plans when his point was proven, seemed to give her an assurance that she was doing what was best for the Heritage.

Now he was leaving, doomed to become a slave to the spirit of the Ancestor that they had all hoped would help them...unless he could find one tablet, one source of power that could help him break his bargin with Zen'zil.

Who would be able to take his place?

The question haunted her until she finally drifted off into a fitful sleep.

(( Not really posting this for anything other reason than a chance for people to write their thoughts on this and perhaps what they might do to convince Gen'jin that are worthy to take his place. Hopefully, Gen will also post here to let us know when he wants people to gather at the arena and meet his challenge Wink ))

I'd like to point out that anyone is free to apply for this. We have many outsiders right now, who are so for no other reason than the amount of time they've been members, rather than any real distrust wether they'll make good members or not. Beating Gen'jin's challenge is a good way to prove oneself and get a huuge promotion Wink

I've given it a lot of thought, and decided there would be no harm in putting Sertah forward to take Gen'Jin's challenge. I know that she has not been with the heritage for long, but in these times of rapid change, decides she has as good a chance as any. Sertah did not come to the Heritage seeking power, but feels it is her duty to attempt to fit the gap that may be left in the current Primal's absence. I really do hope i am not the only one to apply! Very Happy
Cheers!

hehe, i'm so Glad Sertah is going to go for this...but i too would like to see more try out.

It would certainly be something that those playing more 'traditional' troll males would try out for if only to try and balance the number of males and females in the leadership of the guild Very Happy

I'm happy to announce that Sertah was made Kindred tonight, after the battle for Kargath as reward for her aid and courage in said battle. Smile

If you're interested, apply. How long you've been in the guild doesn't matter, as it's our older members who have the most trouble with showing up and participating in rp as it is right now. Smile

Yet another female in high position... Apart from Snicka and Gen'jin, the Heritage was very female-dominated (there were plenty of males among the lower-ranking members, but the higher ones were always female) - especially in the Zanick-Ryleen era. Smile
Good luck, Sertah!

hmmm. At first I did not think I was going to put Hadunka up for this challenge, simply cos the char I have in mind is not rely a leader Smile ... but come to think of it, it would be fun to se how he can handle it. Also ... Hadunka loves to prove himself thou challenges. So for nothing else than testing the challenge of the primal (and RP) Hadunka will sign up pirat

Aaah, 'the Zanick-Ryleen era'. What golden days they were. But I hope that they're not quite gone . . .

Zanick certainly won't be trying to regain her former position as Primal. She's still far too busy serving with the Spearhead Stalkers in Northrend. But I'm hoping that she'll reappear to take part in a few more adventures with her Heritage comrades.

Very well, those announcing their intention to face Gen'jin's challenge and try for the position of new Primal are:

Sertah, Yahsadin (Lyranne), Handunk and Tmb'jika.

all we await now is the summons from Gen'jin.

And it would be lovely to see Zanick again, I'm sure by now she must have a few tales to tell us Smile

The dinner is voluntary, so that's all right. Smile Ry won't involve herself in the choice of primal (tempted as she may be), but will leave it up to Gen'jin, so I'll be there to run the dinner as always.

Apparently none of them fit exactly what he wanted the new primal to be Smile After Ryleen rejected the idea of making all four something like co-primals, he chickened out and left the decision up to her instead.
