Guild Meeting 8th June

At the meeting were Deyyania, Zinzalji, Chabat, Stargazer, Ryleen, and Skeen.

Ryleen asked for our input on assigning Zanick a more fitting rank within the guild. It was decided that she should be one of the Masters but we have yet to decide on a fitting title.

We were joined by a new troll named Jinaz who had sought us out. Jinaz is a Darkspear troll and, after Ryleen explained our ways to him, he took the oath and joined the guild as an outsider.

Finally, Ryleen informed us that she no longer expects Gando to return to her and that we should no longer seek him out on her behalf.

There has been no further news of either military action from the humans or the investigation into the Message and so the meeting was called to a close.

OOC bit:

Now, the IC meeting was pretty short and sweet as it’s been a quiet week (for a change) and there were some important OOC issues Ryleen wished to discuss with those present.

Those that read the forum regularly will know that Ryleen has redesigned the website and is actively trying to recruit new members.

To encourage new folks to join she has asked the rest of us to try and come up with small but regular events that anybody is free to join in.

If we can keep up a steady stream of small events to keep people interested, there’s no reason why we can’t be as active as other guilds.

Zinzalji/ genjin is organising an event for the weekend so if he approaches any of you, please do your best to support it.

There’s been several suggestions in the past for religious events so any ideas for these would be most welcome. There are plenty of occasions for us to give thanks to the Loa and spirits so let’s get using them 

Ryleen will be posting reminders in the calendar for ‘dinner’ evenings where she’ll cook for us, so all we need to do there is turn up and have something to talk about. Remember though, anybody could call such an event and perhaps the hunting of the food in the first place could be another little event in itself?

Naturally, everybody in the guild is welcome to the Broken Keel pub nights and Ryleen has kindly placed the next few on the calendar already as a reminder for ppl.

And don’t forget Deyy’s event for Remembering Quintilius. Even if you didn’t know him, it would be nice to see ppl there to support Deyy.

The Blades seem to be offering us pvp opportunities too atm so if any of you are interested in that I guess Ry is the one to ask for more details as she has an alt in there now…just a thought, if the world pvp doesn’t appeal, maybe we can at least organise some BG pre-mades every now and then?

Oh yes, we also breifly talked about Zinzalji/ genjin's Master role. Once Genjin is available again, Zin will no longer be a Master but Gen'jin will. Not sure we decided which one he will take but it may be that we need to redefine them again.

Also, Deyy mentioned about not having a defined role in the guild. do other ppl feel that they would like their duties in the guild more clearly outlined? And what would Deyy's duties be?

Gen'jin already has the title Master of Battle. But we should have written down who has what title, I think.. people seem to forget

Oh, and just to explain, since it some times seem to be some confusion about it some times.. The reason I invited the masters and veterans only to the discussion last night is not to exclude the others. It's more the fact that while everyone is free to make events and create rp, our officers have the responsibility to do so.
