Guild Meeting on 2nd June
Only three main topics for discussion at this meeting:
Ryleen told us what had happened with Jimar. I will try to summarise it here. [But see also the thread 'Poem for Chabat' in the Troll tales section of the Forum for the full story.] After the previous weekly meeting Jimar said that Barzovia had spoken to him, but he refused to say more, claiming that Deyyania had offended him. Ryleen questioned Jimar and learned that he claimed to have spoken to Barzovia's spirit (spirits, it seems, cannot be destroyed). Jimar offered to pass on a message to Barzovia's spirit, then decided that Ryleen should deliver the message herself. To do this, Jimar began a ritual in Sen'jin, but as he was doing this he suddenly collapsed.
Ryleen found Gando and together they tried to help Jimar. Jimar told Ryleen to call for someone named 'Leviaus' to help him. Leviaus, appearing to be a Forsaken on a skeletal horse, duly arrived but was reluctant to help. Leviaus said that Jimar's spirit was separated from his body. The only way to save him, he said, was to kill Jimar and then resurrect him. Before there could be any discussion, Leviaus acted. He killed Jimar, declared that Jimar's soul was now his, and then he left.
Ryleen has spent a lot of time searching for information about Leviaus. A scholar in Undercity gave her a scroll that reveals that Leviaus is really a spirit - the 'Lord of many names & Titles'. Leviaus' realm borders the realm of the dead, so it can be used as a way to contact dead souls. But it is dangerous to do so, because any ritual like this opens a way for Leviaus to look into our world. Once he is summoned, he requires a soul to take away to his own realm. So now, if we are to help Jimar, we need to find someone who is learned in the ways of the spirit world. Ryleen has offered to lead this search.
Secondly, I gave a brief description of what I had learned about the connection between the evil of the Soulflayer in Zul'gurub and the Ivory tower of Karazhan. [More can be found in the Headhuntin' section of the Forum in the thread 'Karazhan revisited'.] Bwangoo had previously expressed an interest in exploring the Tower. Gando, it seems, has already been there several times. Ryleen, Gul'Zayne and Deyyania also said that they would be interested if our guild formed a group to explore Karazhan. Discussions and preparations for this will continue in the next few weeks.
Finally, Ryleen stated that her wedding to Gando would be postponed slightly due to the problem with Jimar's untimely demise and difficulties with contacting certain people needed to take part in the wedding ceremony.
As an after-note, we record with sadness the recent death of Gul'Zayne's mate, Jentah. We lend him our support in his sadness and pray to the Gods that the spirit of his wo'mon now rests peacefully amongst her ancestors.
