Guild Meeting 17th August

The Meeting was held on Yojamba Isle. At the Meeting were Ryleen, Lyranne, Gen’jin, ‘Ros, Gul’Zayne, Stargazer, Jhaga, DioKhan, Corigo, Chabat and GazRok.

Ryleen officially informed us that the House of Sylvanas had betrayed and murdered Lyranne. Our Bloodsister is now one of the undead though her mind remains free.

While some of those present were almost as outraged about allowing Lyranne to continue her unlife as they were about the actions of the House, Ryleen decreed that that would be the subject of another discussion. Responding to the murder of one of our own is of more immediate importance and Ryleen felt that we can no longer simply allow them to avoid the consequences of their actions with fancy words or boxes of gold.

The matter now open for discussion is the nature of our retribution. How can we revenged upon those who both outnumber us and who may take so lightly any mere physical punishment?

The suggestions were many and varied and will be noted down elsewhere, but Ryleen advised that we are now officially, if not openly, at war with the House.

This brought Gen’jin to reveal his reason for asking us to assemble at Yojamba for the meeting. Firstly, he wishes to begin strengthening the position of the Heritageto show the rest of the Horde that we are not to be taken lightly.

He suggested we take upon ourselves the duty of clearing and protecting the old and sacred places of our Gurubashi ancestors in the name of the Zandalari. Secondly, to do this, we need a leader that all recognise. Gen’jin then lead us to the altar of Zanza, where he consulted with the Loa with determine whether Ryleen’s taking the position of Warlord met with the approval of the spirits.

Upon returning from this consultation, Gen’jin informed us that Loa Zanza had indeed accepted Ryleen as the new Warlord of the Heritage and all those present renewed their oath of loyalty to upholding the Heritage of Zandalar and to Warlord Ryleen. ((*))

As her first act as our new Warlord, Ryleen established a new title of defender within the guild. All those, be they kindred, veteran or master, that are willing to be first called upon to fight for the guild may take this title. There is no other distinction between those with the defender title and those without. As the Zandalari themselves have shown us, maintaining the records and traditions of our people is of as much importance as defending our people and territory. Given our current situation however, those who wish to take the title should inform Ryleen as soon as possible.

(( * I realise that Dio did not actually take this oath, but as I said last night, Chabat wouldn’t have noticed. Wink ))

The ceremony at Yojumba was a really cool piece of theatre, full marks to Genjin for making it happen so smoothly and also to everyone else for playing their part so well. That was RP at it's best.

I look forward to us reclaiming lost territory and holding celebratory rituals soon Very Happy

This is what happens if you do not listen to Rokalm! Razz

An interesting turn of events of course, I'm curious of Lyranne's future... well, forsaken future now. Smile
