Character developments
As some of you may be aware both Rokalm and Stargaazer are currently working on some developments ofr their characters.
Rokalm, understandably, is looking at ways to develop his understanding of troll culture and Stargaazer is looking to exapnd on her background of being discovered and then raised by Tauren.
In Star's case, there are the possibilities that she may be a lost Shatterspear or (and this one is unlikely imo as the look is all wrong) Sand troll. If anybody has any ideas and would like to be involved in Star developing this, please speak feel free to post here or speak up in game.
For Rokalm, i must admit i discovered something about an alliance quest where they have to discover what has caused a previously good and nobel human to to go somewhat depraved (this is from the point of veiw of a human cleric i hasten to point out ), that i'm quite keen to use.
The quest involves finding 4 stone tablets that tell some ancient troll legends and i think it would be cool if we created theses tablets using GHI and have Rokalm find them himself
what do others (particularly Rokalm) think?

Re: Character developments
These are nice suggestions. It depends on the decision of Star and Rokalm, though, if they want to play these plots out.
Re: Character developments
Well, to be honest I was trying to create a plot for Rokalm to help him prove himself to Heritage. I'd gladly play this plot out but it will be better if I change it a bit I just fail to see how this will make rokalm prove himself. (Even though he is a stranger to orcs of Azeroth, he still thinks "proving" himself can only be done in battle, or besting one of the heritage's enemies.)

He proves himself by learning that knowledge is just as important as honor in battle, maybe?
Re: Character developments
heh, i was going to reply earlier and say that of course these would be just suggestions and Rokalm and Star can use them or leave them as they see fit
If you don't see how to use an idea to further your storyline then don't. Or, as you say Rokalm, adapt it to something that will. Just don't try to make your story fit our suggestions because you feel you should after you asked for input. That usually leads to people getting frustrated and disappointed when things don't turn out the way they wanted.
I simply started this thread to highlight the fact that we do actually have some stuff going on in guild that people can be involved in if they wanted to. By the same token, Star and Rokalm can let us know if they have any ideas and would like help carrying them out.

Re: Character developments
Well, I can change the plot a bit but I need some information.
Can Loa's appear to non-trolls when they see fit?
Can these troll tablets be attached to spirits or one of the Loa itself?
Thanks for the suggestion by the way Vypra, I can now think a plot for Rokalm now.

Re: Character developments
I hesitate to leap in and answer Rokalm's questions, since I'm not at all an expert on the Loa, but here goes:
1. I don't see why the Loa can't appear to non-trolls. The Loa exist. Sometimes they will appear in some form in the mortal world. The Loa have probably appeared before non-trolls many times in the past, but usually they wouldn't have realised that they were seeing a Loa. Loa Legba is said to appear as a wanderer who offers stories and advice to other travellers. Loa Zanza appears in ethereal form atop one of the temples in Zul'Gurub and is certainly visible to non-trolls.
2. I'm not quite sure what you mean by a tablet being 'attached to' a spirit or one of the Loa. I suppose that a spirit could be temporarily within a tablet or could control the tablet in some way. Similarly one of the Loa could control the tablet, speak through it or otherwise use it to communicate. I'm sure that a tablet could be some sort of spirit-link device, to enable a spirit or Loa to interact with the mortal world. It would take some powerful voodoo to actually bind a spirit to a tablet, but it could be done, I think. However, to bind one of the Elder Loa in a similar way would probably need more voodoo than any single troll has ever wielded.
What do others think?
On another note, relating to Stargaazer: Vypra mentioned that she might be a lost Shatterspear troll or, less likely, a Sandfury. It seems to me that there is a more likely possibility. During the first few years after the Darkspears came to Kalimdor, there would have been many journeys from the first settlement on the Echo Isles or, later, from Sen'jin, going to Shadowprey Village in Desolace or the hunting camp at Malaka'jin. These journeys, in small groups or in a caravan, would have had to go through a lot of hostile territory. A lot of the route would have been through or at least close to tauren lands. So, perhaps Star is a Darkspear, whose family or travelling companions were attacked whilst they were heading to one of these other troll settlements.

Re: Character developments
Your answers to Rokalms questions seems to be all right, Zan.
About Star being a Darkspear... If I remember correctly, she's sixteen now. That would mean that at the very most, she got lost eight years ago. Wouldn't a eight year old child have at least some memories of who she is? Well, unless she got hit on the head and lost her memory or something... But that seems to me to be a way to common solution to background stories of characters.

Re: Character developments
Actually Ry, not everybody remembers all their early years. While i remeber all the way back to my sister being born when i was 3 years old, she claims she doesn't really remember anything from before she was around 7.
This could be due to some trauma that results in whatever went before being forgotten ( In our case, my mum had a stroke when my sister was 6 and i was 9).
Maybe whatever happened to Star could have been bad enough for her to forget everything up until the point she was rescued by the tauren?

Re: Character developments
Hm.. that's true, Vypra. I guess I only thought of myself, and I remember pretty much from at least the age of five-six or so.
Re: Character developments
I love the ideas and are up for preatty much anything. I lvoe the idea of making Stars backstory together. But if she is a Shatterspear or a Darkspear I don't know yet but it is definately somehting to think about.
