Gen’jin was born a sick child, and was destined to die shortly after birth. However his mother prayed to the Loa Mueh'zala and traded her own life, for her newborn child’s.

A mother's love can be strong, but none can elude the grib of the harbringer. It soon became clear for the tribe elders, that the loa had plans for this infant, and today Gen'jin, a full blown shadowhunter, must hunt those who elude the grib of the harbringer, and vanquish them to the realm of samedi.
