Guild Meeting on 9th June Empty Guild Meeting on 9th June

Post  Zanick Thu Jun 12, 2008 8:28 pm

This was perhaps our most eventful guild meeting ever! Here's a quick note of what happened.

Firstly, I reported that Azhkir, a young hunter who I kicked out of our guild, had contacted me asking to be allowed to rejoin. She was kicked out after several members informed me that she had apparently been selling 'intimate services' and acting inappropriately with her pet wolf in the open area on the Lower Rise of Thunder Bluff. I explained to Azhkir that that sort of behaviour was not acceptable if she were to be associated with our guild.

After some discussion it was decided that, if she contacts me again, I will set her some task - a difficult one, but one that she should be able to accomplish - to test her determination to change her ways [see also the thread 'A member rejoining' in the Friends an' Enemies section of the forum].

Secondly, I reminded everyone present that our Guild Bank is a bit over-stocked with materials and armour and assorted other items. I asked everyone to take a look and, particularly the newer recruits, to take anything that is of use to them. We don't want stuff to just sit around, we want it to be used to help our members increase their prowess in battle or to improve their secondary and craft skills. (After the meeting several members did take out some items, freeing up some space for new stuff.)

Next we discussed the Red List. For those who may not know, this is the list of the enemies of our guild. Currently it has only three names: Zogtar, Dagooto and Tempeste, who all stole from our guild bank. [See the thread 'The Red List' in the Friends an' Enemies section of the forum.] When I learn that any of these villains have joined a new guild, I send a letter to the guildmaster to warn them that they are not to be trusted. So far I have received several letters of thanks and some of these outlaws have been kicked out of their new guilds. Please remember to keep a check on the Red List and make sure that you never have any dealings with any of our guild's enemies.

While we were still discussing the Red List, Jimar walked into the meeting. This naturally caused astonishment and confusion because we all believed that Jimar was dead, or at least that his spirit was held captive in another realm. But here he was, walking, talking and acting much like the Jimar that we knew. He insisted that he was really Jimar and that he was alive, but by the way he acted we could tell that he was not back to normal. Lyranne and Chabat in particular, I think, sensed that there was some dark force still commanding Jimar in some way.

To prove that he truly lived, at Jimar's own suggestion, Rezip drew his blade across Jimar's arm and drew real blood. But when Lyranne attempted to heal the wound it was clear that all was not well. Jimar then told us that there was a way that we could save him from his captivity. He told us to collect fishbones, a part of a scorpid and a small weapon. Rezip and Gul'Zayne quickly set off to collect these things.

Jimar then told us that we also needed to get some cactus pear juice . . . squeezed on the thigh of a virgin. This caused some anxiety (not because of a scarcity of cactus pears around Sen'jin village . . .). There was some asking of impertinent questions by trolls who should know better. As the moments ticked away, it seemed possible that we might fail to take this chance to save Jimar solely because of the difficulty in . . . preparing this last item in the correct way.

Fortunately I thought of a way to get the cactus pear juice. I don't think I need to explain here how I managed to do this. It would be best for all concerned not to ask about the details. Trust me.

We all made our way down to the area in the centre of the village and a fire was started. In the light of the flickering flames it seems that Leviaus, the spirit that held Jimar captive, was called forth and spoke through Jimar's body. At first the spirit did not want to release Jimar from his servitude. But Rezip and Gul'Zayne remembered what Ryleen had previously learned about the double nature of Leviaus, that he can sometimes be jovial instead of deadly. By speaking respectfully to the spirit they tried to get his good nature to show itself. They were then able to convince the spirit that Jimar's service was worth little and that we could compensate Leviaus in some way for his release.

The spirit replied that would return Jimar to us if we fetched for him a powerful item owned by the demon in the heart of Ragefire Chasm. Rezip, Gul'Zayne, Lyranne and myself immediately set off for Orgrimmar. We rampaged through the lava pits in the Chasm, destroying all that got in our way, until we reached the felguard demon, Taragaman the Hungerer. Against our might, spurred on by the urgency of our task, he fell in only a few moments and we took from him his Crystalline Cuffs.

We raced back to Sen'jin and there, following Jimar's instructions, we placed the items in the fire and then gave him the cactus pear juice to drink. We all held our breath, not sure what would happen. To our relief, Jimar's behaviour instantly changed. He took obvious pleasure in breathing fresh air and feeling the water when he plunged into the pond. As far as all could tell, Jimar was once again back to normal.

To celebrate his return, we ran down to the shore to swim in the moonlight. Deras, our tauren emissary turned up, and several people tested their strength by duelling with fists. Jimar spoke kindly to Lyranne and, I hope, that she can let go her unfounded feelings of guilt about Jimar's 'death'. Jimar was also able to renew his friendship with Chabat, but their conversation took place in private.

So that's where it ended. Jimar, it seems, is back with us and none the worse for his ordeal, or so we hope.

[Welcome back, Jimar. And thanks to everyone involved for a great evening of roleplaying!]

Things happen, seemingly at every meeting, mostly because it's one of the few times where you can guarantee there is a sizable number of Heritage trolls online. I don't think anyone has the heart - or nerve - to hi-jack the Broken Keel evenings, either. However, one could do a lot worse than visit the next GWT meeting this Sunday at 8 server time. *hint hint* Not that I know what's to transpire, but I know it should at least be interesting.

Is the next Greywolf Tribe meeting going to be visited by the House of Sylvanas and the Grimwolves? I think I've read something similar on the GwT forums.

That is correct, Snicka, but I don't quite know what Tivak has planned. He seems to relish the opportunity to make others miserable though, so I suspect he's going to position the House against the GWT ( more likely a 'You're either with us, or against us' type choice ). 'Twould be nice to see the Heritage there, as you'd at least have first-hand knowledge of proceedings. Maybe I'll take Lyranne if no other Heritage are online, seeing as she's friends with a few of those that are likely to attend.
