Guild Meeting 17th May

At the meeting were Kaz’jo, Chabat, Ryleen, Gu’jun, Hadunka and ‘Ros.

The fist point of discussion was when to hold the funerals of Zanick and Gul’s wife and the memorials for the children and Gando.
Chabat will hold the memorials on Saturday afternoon and ‘Ros will conduct the funerals afterwards.

Next we discussed a new title for Ryleen. The Blades have insisted as one condition of the peace agreement, that we no longer use the title ‘Warlord’.
A few different ideas were suggested but in the end, the title of Matriarch was the found to be the least objectionable.

Note: Gen’jin has, for some time, insisted that Ryleen should be addressed by the traditional troll title of Ry’jin. Those who feel this is more appropriate are free to use it as Matriarch is quite formal and is likely be used only in our dealings with outsiders.

The matter of establishing Laws was brought up but there was little progress made. The two suggestions that were put forward involved how we deal with visitors and our interactions with members of the Horde.
‘Ros thought that permission to bring outsiders to the valley should be sought from Ryleen in order to help maintain the security of our home and Chabat suggested that some guidelines about how to behave when dealing with members of the Horde would be useful.

However, we still have time to discuss these matters so hopefully we have thought of a few more by next week.

Ryleen announced that the next meeting of the Blood Pact is scheduled for Wednesday evening at 20.30. Those who want to attend should pay attention to the spirit link for further details.

Following this, Ryleen explained the current situation with Kaz’jo. The spirit that tried to control him has been defeated. Unfortunately, it has not yet been banished and sadly, it has left Kaz with little of his former personality intact. Kaz is having to relearn many things including who we all are and what it means to be a troll.

Ryleen is doing her best to provide a suitable place for the spirit to be transferred to and has been advised the weapon she found can be repaired though it will take a little time to ensure it is just right.

Security in the valley is still being looked at though Hadunka has been very busy trying to rebuild the town hall. The Animal training has begun and there are plans to create some engineered security. Chabat is to look at following Sertah’s plan to use the tiki masks that were brought back from Zul’drak as wards.

Finally, Ryleen discussed the possibilities for growing our own crops in Antu’ rah. There is a suitable space but it will take some time to clear the overhanging trees and remove the rocks that littler the ground. The rocks, while numerous, are small so everybody should be able to put in a little time to help roll them away. The trees on the other hand may require some special equipment to remove.

Note: Chabat has been working on a herb garden in the village and this is already underway. If you have any requests for particular herbs that you wiould like to be grown, please let her know.

I agree that the exact location of Antu'Rah should be kept secret from anyone outside the Heritage, and anyone bringing a guest should ask for Ryleen's approval. Anyone getting to the valley without Ry's permission should face the consequences.
I like that you put so much security around the place: wards, guard animals, maybe traps are a good idea too (although how should those be roleplayed is another thing).

A somewhat related question: Shadowtroll asked me to write some articles for the South Sea Daily under the alias of Samantha Gizzlesprock. I would love to leak some information about Antu'Rah (describing it as a mysterious lost city retaken by the Heritage of Zandalar); however, I don't know how much would that ruin your RP. Of course, I would not give exact coordinates, only mention that it is somewhere in Stranglethorn Vale - it would be more like spreading the rumor that Antu'Rah exists.

Well, considering that we've had 'visitors' from the Blades, the Order and even the House, it's not exactly a secret that it exists...but we are trying to keep the location from becoming widely known. The fact that it's 'somewhere deep in the jungles of STV' is nice and vague and pretty much known already so i don't see the harm in reporting that Wink

Hopefully our 'security' measures won't seem too much like meta-gaming... Razz

The wards would probably only detect somebody simply walking past them. I doubt that they would sense a stealthed or invisible character.

The guard animals would scent stealthers and invisible intruders but of course they couldn't actually tell us what exactly it is they've detected so it would be down to the intruder to tell us if they think they have been found out i guess.

The engineered devices would probably detect any kind of movement but they would be fixed and those who knew what they were doing could find away round them eventually.

Those are just my thoughts though...and that reminds me, i need to write up what 'Bats has done with the wards...

The animals is a bunch of stealthing panthers (hens not detected by peps entering, until they attack) ... that Had has trained himself (they are still being trained ... so they are not in play yet). I had plans to put them on the same bond as Had has with his pet .. but that might be to much. That would however make it possible that as son as some one is authorised to enter, the animals will not even show them self ... sins Had could tell them (even if I am off-line, as long as I have not expressed that Had has shut down the link). They would also be able to tell Had if some one entered. Also they will be by the entrance mainly ... and if they attack any thing the Tiikis will see that Wink.

As for the traps .. I guess Had with some help of others will make em ... and he is a engineer + hunter, he knows traps Wink
This is waht I had in minde: That freeze you in place (yes like the hunter non aoe one), one that just simply is a trap dor (the pit by the entrance Wink ) ... well you get the idea .. not rely any thing permanent deadly ... just to keep peps in place until they can be dealt with ... hmmm bear traps ... LOL

I guess the best way is to inform of what security measures we have on WAL and hope that enough peps is kind enough (OOC) to respect it. After al the vally is to HoZ in many ways like the guildhals of the other RP guilds ... just a bit more physical than most.

If we gonna use bear traps i can make em a little more effektive...
Poisons Twisted Evil

One that makes them react slower, more numb... or clouds their minds becoming less able to cast powerful spells.
... guess more harmful (deadly poison) ones could be could be applied, but seen a little too defensive, we dont want folks to die on our grounds.
