Character name: Euphrati

Character race: Troll

Character level: 31

Professions: Enchantin´ 69 / Skinning 186

Why do you want to join us?: Want to be in one of the better/older Troll rp guilds

How often do you play WoW?: a couple of times a week, 2+

Roleplaying experience: Leader of Blood Tribe (troll guild not any members left, since i stopped playing a while). In Darkspear Runners atm

Character history: About all info i have in head comes up now :p
Euphrati is an Vilbranch female troll. She was an talented rouge as young and was picked out from the others children to join an group of other handpicked younglings to train to be an elite assassin of Vilebranch tribe.
About the age of 13 her group of trainees were ambushed by Bloodsail Pirates. Though the the Vilebranch adults/masters tried to fend em off they were ultimatly killed. The pirates captured Euphrati and 3 or 4 other young trolls. The pirate captain later found out what kind of group young trolls they had kidnapped when one of the trolls had been seen stealing from the cargo and fended off the pirate and killed him. The captain found out he could use them and started using the group of trolls to assassinate other pirate lords.
After about 2 years of service to the captain Euphrati was sold along with an darkspear (the darkspear has another story of his own) to be slaves for an human family (havent really found out where the family lives/d,)( though atm)living in Tirisfal Glades. She became an maid in the humie house. After some time she and the oldest son in the family fell in love (!) in secret. None but the darkspear knew about it, he accepted her decision even if he disliked it.
(((this coming now is an idea i just got to give her more hate towards someone)))-((Though during her 17/8 summer her beloved joined the army of prince Arthas as an Captain. Her beloved wrote her an letter every month during (how long was scourge war before arthas changed) until they abrutly stopped coming. After some months in grief he comes home wearin dark armor. He was not only changed in skin but in mind too, he had become more darker. One night he and his family started argue about someting, which made him slay his own parents to the greatest joy of the darkspear. Her beloved asks her and her blue friend(darkspear) if they want to come with him and Arthas to the country up in the north to find their destiny. The darkspear (who will later be called Zulzinjin=Great-Destroyer-Leader) agrees but Euphrati that gets an bad feeling of her loved one declines. Her loved humie gets mad with fury and threatens to kill her but feels in the last second that he still loves her. They say farewell and hasnt seen eachother since.))
During (how long it took for Arthas to move from Lordaeron to the the freeing of sylvanas) she really had to test her skills against the scourge who lived(?) in the mayority of the area. Eventually she was spotted by an necromancer who sent an group of undead after her, she killed all but an abomination. Euphratis ife would have been lost f it werent for another group of undead that appeared and killed the abomination and the necromancer.
They carried the green troll into Lordaeron, and Euphrati thought she had fallen to a more fearfull faith than deadmeat. After some days she woke up seeing an friendly undead taking care of her. After an fine meaty breakfast (vilebranch is as undies cannibals) she told them of her story and they tld her the story of Sylvanas, Arthas and the Horde. Euphrati thankful that they had saved her gladly joined the horde.
She now works as an agent of the Forsaken and the Shattered Hand.

Euphrati Empty read your troll rp guide

Post  Euphrat Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:17 am

As Euphrati been part of the Horde a while she has learned some of its and the darkspear culture. She has become a little bit more civilized and doesnt take use of cannibalism anymore. and have started learning how to infuse wepons with magic to make them more effektive.

I hope I will not be treading on Vypra's toes if I jump in and give my thoughts here.

Being trained from a young age to be an assassin fits well with the Vilebranch. Their ambushers are well known and rightly feared. I'm also glad to hear that she has become a bit more civilized and has learned about Darkspear culture. That will help a lot.

But, with this back-story I think you've made it REALLY difficult for yourself. There are several reasons why Euphrati might find it difficult to be accepted by others.

• There will be some immediate distrust, perhaps even hatred, from some trolls in the Horde just because she is a Forest Troll. This is hard to hide because she presumably has green skin.

• Once it is known that she is a Vilebranch troll there may be more hatred because the Vilebranch Tribe have made themselves enemies of the Horde. The Vilebranch are known for being savage: their tribe includes scalpers, blood-drinkers and soul-eaters. Many might believe that a Vilebranch troll could never be civilised enough to be welcome in the Horde.

• The only Forest Troll tribe friendly to the Horde, the Revantusk, hate the Vilebranch. Members of the Heritage may even have killed Vilebranch trolls to help the Revantusk. Members may worry that, if Euphrati discovers this, she might seek revenge.

Once we get to know her, though, we will probably have no problem with her being from the Vilebranch Tribe. So it could all be OK.

• But, because she was raised as a Vilebranch, she will be suspected of being a follower of Hakkar. As many trolls know, the Vilebranch Tribe worship the Soulflayer. If we ever suspect that Euphrati worships the Blood God then she will be in BIG trouble.

• If she tells us that she was a maid for a human family then she will lose respect. I can imagine a troll being sold as a slave. Securely restrained or constantly guarded a troll could be a strong worker. But I find it really difficult to imagine any human family wanting a savage forest troll (who was previously an assassin for a pirate) as a maid in their home. A maid needs to be able to move about the house without being confined in any way. The humans must have been incredibly trusting. Why didn't she escape or murder them in their beds one night? Is she a coward or, even worse, was she happy to be a slave?

• If others find out that the son of the human family fell in love with her . . . well, I don't know what their reaction might be. I initially thought that this was just too unlikely. But maybe he pitied her. Maybe some sort of affection grew from that. But if she fell in love with him, a human, then she was betraying her own heritage as a Forest Troll. Many trolls will find this hard to understand. Humans are the Forest Trolls' ancestral enemies. This would be like Zanick keeping a murloc as a pet! It's NEVER going to happen. And if there was anything more to their relationship than affection then I don't want to know about it. Even the thought of touching one of those disgusting tuskless pink-skins makes me feel ill. I suggest she keeps this quiet.

• If the other members discover that she is an agent of the Forsaken there will be more distrust. Many trolls simply do not trust the Forsaken. They believe that they only joined forces with the Horde for their own sinister reasons and the Dark Lady will betray us just as soon as it suits her.

But I don't want to discourage you. We always welcome role-players of all kinds to become members of our guild. I can imagine that some really interesting role-play situations could develop with Euphrati. I suggest that you plan very carefully which parts of your history you will reveal to us in the game, and which parts you choose to keep secret. This will be a big factor in how Euphrati is treated.

I agree with Zanick's points. It's a difficult character to play, and you must be prepared to get into problems due to the more controversial parts of your background. But on the other hand, difficult is nothing more than a challenge, and conflict is what makes interesting stories. Smile

Ryleen, being as she is, will of course insist that Euphrat is welcomed into the Heritage, as all trolls should be, and will fight for her acceptance. But I know for sure that not everyone will greet her warmly. If you are okay with that, I don't see why you can't play her.

The one thing I have an issue with is what Zan already pointed out, about her working as a maid. Why was she not put to work with something she's more suitable for, and how on earth did they make her work for them without, as Zan put it, murdering them in their beds one night? Smile

Euphrati Empty some changes

Post  Euphrati Thu Mar 11, 2010 3:47 am

Ill skip the love story stuff it was only someting i came up with that moment.
off goes forsaken too.
the arthas-story accidently was mixed up with an other rp-char :p

OK lets test this then... Will have to work on it yes...
- short version since beginning have already wrote it. Her group gets kidnapped -> Pirate Captain uses her group as what theyre trained for, assassins. After some years of service her reputation in the "underground" gets renowned/feared. She gets (somehow comes up with that later) in contact with The Shattered Hand, Which "persuedes" the captain to realese her. Euphrati is finally free. In thanks to the Shattered Hand that they reed her she swear allegiance to The Shattered Hand and the Horde.

Can assure you that Euphrati is loyal to the horde, as honorable as an rogue can be :p
Wrote full background for ye to know, but who really knows who she is? Some high ranked Shattered Hand officers and herself. Shes only an green troll, and theres some of them in the horde, Vilebranch is not so very official, neither is Shattered Hand.
Zandali is the troll language that she can talk, common/orcish could be with some strange accent.
As for Vilebranch culture is someting that was left at early age.

This is more like the original i started playing on, hope it works better.

I think this trimmed down version of your back-story is better. It gives you more room to develop your character over time in whichever direction you want to.

As long as Ryleen and the other officers agree, I see no reason why your character wouldn't be welcomed into our guild. If so, I look forward to meeting you in the game. I'll be looking out for a sneaky green-skinned troll wo'mon.
