Character class: Atal'Loa [ It's a druid, now im a shaman but i wanna roleplay as Worshiper of Loas who will use his strength to change into animal form. ]

Professions: Herbalism and inscription.
Why do you want to join us?:
I really enjoy rping, but i wasn't RPing much on global servers and not with my favourites, Trolls.
How often do you play WoW?:
Few hours everyday except days when i need to learn a lot or my game card is off.
Roleplaying experience:
Roleplaing with friends in world of The Witcher [ not much but it's always a start ]. Some roleplaying on global servers and a lot of roleplaying with my friends on a private server with almost every kind of character.
Character history:
Nabu was born on Zandalar Island near Zuldazar. His father Ank'un was a Amani warrior and mother Rin'ja was a herbalist. His father died at battleground when he was three years old. He didn't do much until 10 years old, he was just having fun. When he was 10 years old he started warrior training. He was trained by his uncle Ikh'jo. He was very unhappy with this training cause he wasn't so strong and he thought that fighting with blunt weapons is stupid.

In age of 12 after training when he was really exhausted so he went for a walk. Few miles from the city he found one of citizens. Nabu and his new friend were walkin for few hours around the jungle. During the walk Nabu noticed that this Troll was a priest. He told Nabu the way of fighting using other powers and help of Loas. Nabu started studying a lot of scrolls those times. He got a lot of information about Troll cities and worshiping Loas from earlier known priest - Boo'diz. Soon he told his uncle that he doesn't want to train anymore. Boo'diz took Nabu as student. Young one was learning talking to Loas and how to gain their blessings for about ten years. Nabu and his teacher traveled around whole Zandalar Island.

At the age of 23 Boo'diz and Nabu left Isle to work in Stranglethorn Vale. They were living on Yojamba Isle. They were succesfuly spying followers of Hakkar. One day they were captured by those Atal'ai. Right before entering Zul'Gurub Boo'diz told Nabu that he must run when he will give him this chance. Old Troll used some strange spell that crashed cages and threw Hakkari away. Nabu was strong enough to get up and run away. He was alone in the jungle for a week. He thought he knew the way back but he was lost.

He found place to sleep but he was in huge danger and he didn't even know this. The same night he woke up cause of strange noises. It was tigers who woke him up. He saw a huge tiger in front of him. He wanted to cast some spell even if he didn't knew many and not strong ones, but suddenly the cat talked to him. Nabu was really suprised and thought it was a dream. Tiger told Nabu that he can learn how to use Loas and even transform into animals, but he need to work hard. After this young Troll knew that Shirvallah's servant or even herself was talking to him. Strange tiger was talking until sunrise about what should Nabu do and how should he act.

Following directions he was getting close to the nature he was watching animals and their lifestyle. After month he got used to living like that. He lived in the jungle for 5 years and when he was 28 the same huge tiger came to Nabu's hut. Nabu wasn't so suprised this time. Cat was talking that he might be ready for transforming and than he teached Nabu how to do this. After few tries he succeeded, but it was more exhausting and strange than he thought. He couldn't even turn back into Troll form for a month. Shirvallah's servant [ Oshriva told him that she is only a servant ]was gone, but Nabu knew that somehow he is part of her.

After another year he could use transform in dangerous situations and he decided to come back to normal lifestyle. When he got back to Yojamba Isle everyone welcomed him cause they thought he and his master died. Nabu told them their story, but he didn't mentioned anything about meeting some God's servant he only told that some tiger helped him.

Soon he came back to Zuldazar and he was living there for 20 years. He was mastering his skills and helping the Trolls. Now he heard about Heritage of Zandalar and he decided to travel to find this organization and join it.

Notes:
I'm going to reroll to druid when cataclysm comes out.
Nabu'jin's skin is purplish like others' Zandalar Trolls, but you can see some green skin parts on his body.

I've changed the histroy of Nabu and I hope it's better now. I got most what you wrote but still wanted to save some things. Waiting for your opinion about new one.

In age of 12, Shirvallah, Ogoun and Legba showed up to Nabu in the jungle. Troll god and Loas told him about themselves and way of using their power. After this incident Nabu was visiting jungle everyday. He was talking with Shirvallah and Loas about history and their power. Nabu started studying a lot of books and scrolls those times. He got a lot of information about Troll cities and worshiping Loas there so he decided to travel to Zul'Aman.
In the age of 25 Nabu left island with Goblins Tradesmen. After 5 years of sailing and visiting many ports, he finally got to Faldir's Cove in Arathi Highlands. He also got a lot of knowledge visiting bays around Azeroth. He wanted to travel through mountains but he had no idea how.
He was walking senseless for 2 years when he finally found Witherbark Village. He was living with thsoe Trolls for a year. They teached him a lot about gods and about their culture.
A group of those Trolls lead Nabu to north borders of The Hinterlands and gave him a map how to get throught those awful plagued lands. After seeing a lot of bad and running away from rotting monsters he finally arrived at Zul'Aman. He was 35 and knew a lot about his culture but not about Amani one's.
Zul'jin welcomed Nabu but not as a brother but as a servant. Nabu was doing everything what they wanted to prove himself. After ten years of cleaning and cooking he found a teacher, Nuz'a'jin. He was tought everything. With the help of Loas he mastered his skills. He felt like one of them. He felt love but also hatred.
Nuz'a'jin and his books told Nabu everything about wars with elves and about their sneaky character. Zul'Aman was great place to live but he missed his old family. He decided to come back to Zuldazar. He found an occasion while few members of Amani were going for the meeting of all Trolls which happens every 6 years. Actually Amani ship started its travel 2 years before the meeting so they all could get there on time. When Nabu went on the ship Nuz'a'jin yelled to him: Goodbye! Nabu'jin! Since that moment he was proudly calling himself Nabu'jin.
He was 62 when he got to Zuldazar. Firstly he didn't know what to do but one thing he had to do is visiting Rin'ja. She was worried that others can hate him for leaving islad without saying anything so she kept his come back in secret for a year. He was living in the jungle. After understanding that he must try talking with them he did that. It was hard to swallow for many of Trolls so they sent him to Stranglethorn Vale so he could prove himself again. Now he is looking for organization of Trolls that left Zuldazar to gather all Trolls together.

Reading through this again, I feel I have a few comments as well.

Playing a zandalarian, or a halfbreed for that matter, is a bit unusual. But it happens, so I can't say much about it.

Claiming that not one but three gods chose to speak to him when he was just a child, when most priests struggle for a lifetime to get more than difficult to comprehend visions from their one god? It's... a bit much.. To have your god speak directly to you is very rare, and to have actual conversations is virtually unheard of.
I also imagine this is where you'll draw your shapeshifting ability from, and would like to point out that up to now only a few high priests of some loa have been granted that ability, and only for one god.

Then there's his travels.. Each part on it's own is not all that unlikely, traveling with goblin merchants, living with witherbarks, traveling the eastern kingdoms, visiting the amani, meeting zul'jin personally, training under an amani witch doctor. But all of them put together feels a bit much, really.

There's also the repeated mention of books. Up to this point, no mention of trolls producing books exist. They have a written language, reserved for stone tablets and almost exclusively holy texts, thus something preserved for the priests and not known by the common people.

And he was at age 63 sent out into the jungle to prove himself? That's... like taking a 105 year old human man and expect him to go out and prove himself. Trolls have shorter life spans than humans. Age 60 is usually about the oldest you can ever expect to experience, should you be so incredibly lucky not to be killed by anything before that.

Ryleen has covered pretty much all the issues that I was planning to raise.

But I hope you can take this as an attempt to help you create a believable character rather than feel we’re trying to belittle you.

As Ry said, most of the things you’ve included in your background aren’t really lore breaking. It’s just that for one person to have been through all that …well, I have to wonder what’s left to actually rp?

I’m a firm believer that less is definitely more when it comes to creating a character.

Chabat’s background was essentially ‘shy young orphan girl’ when I first created her. I filled the rest in as I went along.

My main, Vypra, wasn’t much more developed…and I made the classic n00b mistake of saying she was born in Sen’jin village (if you’re not aware of the timeline….That village was only founded about 7 years ago so unless your character is actually a child, there’s no way they would have been born there ). The rest was a few details on why she left Sen’jin (classic teen rebellion) and little bit to explain why She had the Bloodguard title (I worked hard for that title on the pvp server I’d been on and was determined to include it in my rp ).

I’d highly recommend you take a look at the troll rp guide Ryleen made: and make some revisions to 1) your character’s age and 2) Simply state that he’s well travelled rather than the exhaustive details you’ve given if you really want to keep that aspect of the character.

My personal preference is to give people reasons to find out stuff about your character IC and I’d advise against writing –everything- in your character sheet (or your flag description if you have one).
Also, try to avoid simply reeling off your background to the first person you introduce yourself to.

Another thing to consider: As your character is half Amani, half Zandalari…which side do you favour? Which side will you present to those that you interact with?

The Zandalari are tolerant and well learned. They are said to be sad about the direction some of the other tribes took.
The Amani are warlike and most likely bitter about the situation of their tribe.

You don’t have to state which you decide to rp in your character profile…let –us- discover it by interacting with you.

I hope you still want to join the guild after all this, though I appreciate that we have kinda dissected your application.

Lookin' at it was oke for me at the first time but true is we sometimes need to look at things from 2nd person look. And I can agree with most of thing u mentioned now. I'll remake it a lil bit but still want to save some.

Was the age intentional? I can see how it might create some very interesting rp, but it will also have big limitations.

I always thought Trolls lifespan is a bit longer and didn't found any exactly info about it. Now I changed it a bit. I sure know what you were talking about. I kinda made different story but for the same kind of character. Still wanted to save some things and they are in this new history. Thnak you cause I can learns something every day and that learned me a lot.

And about character history before starting RP: I can't do everything in wow and in history im pointing these things out and it might been a lot of shorter but still history is thing on which you base your character's behaviour.

And now Nabu is 49-50.

This is much better. Also, it's nice to get another older char in the guild. We've been a bunch of teens and twenty-somethings for so long.
