Ryleen abducted by the House.

Late last night, Ry was taken from Orgrimmar by Rokalm and a member of the House. She was brought to Kadris, who demanded the curse on her lifted and revenge for the suffering she's gone through because of the curse.

Ros and Taupod found out what happened, and has been attempting to free her, but she still remains in the hands of the House. She's kept her contact to the link, and occassionally managed to communicate to the others, but due to being tortured she hasn't been very coherent for most of the time.


I'll let Ros or Tau fill in what's been happening on their side of things, and I'll try to update if something big happens.

So Rokalm was a traitor... we should have never trusted an orc...

On a more serious note, this event raises the question:
Who is going to be the IC leader for the Heritage while Ryleen is away? Of course, she can control the things through spirit talk, but being tortured and abducted by the House, she may be unable to keep things in hand...
Gen'jin would be a possible option, but he's away in spain... so who else?

Well, in short, Kadris is dead, Tau is pissed at the HoS huntard (can't remember the name), and Ros is more or less fine and will be back for the meeting tomorrow.

Kadris was later ressurected by Archnazg.

I was forced to override Gen'jin a little tonight. His voodoo doll was needed to end the war and free Ry. If we'd had to wait until he comes back from Spain, Ry would be long gone. So I decided that he left it with some npcs when he went off to wherever it is he went.

Graanshakuun, Torgadon and Taupod managed to free Ryleen tonight. She's been brought to Conquest Hold and is being looked after by the healers there.

For my own memory's sake, I'll try to list her injuries here:
Left ear cut off
Tusks pulled out
Eyelids cut apart/off
Both hands severed at the wrists
Both feet removed
Chest cut open to remove a rib
Most major bones in her body broken by shadow magic
Huuge gash in her back where she had two ribs cracked and ripped out by a hook, but wound later sewn shut.
Electrocuted (need to google what that will do to her)
Face and head badly beaten with fists and tools.
Frost damages due to prolonged near-fatal hypothermia
Dehydration and starvation
Severe blood loss

hmm... that's about it, I think.

So Ry is, practically, a troll wreck now...
Shame that they've done this to her, she used to be a beautiful troll. Is there any way she may be healed?
We may try and avenge her, but if we continue our campaign of vengeance, we may as well all end up like her...

Well, she's a troll. She'll heal, eventually. (which is why I allowed it to happen, I wouldn't have agreed if she'd been permanently injured)

Extreme as it is, it will most likely lead to a number of interesting things. Firstly, it will greatly boost HoZ sympathy in this, where people may have been ambivalent before. And it seems like we've managed to uncover enough truths about the House to break up the alliance between them and the Blades.

I think there is an inner conflict in the House now, as this was not what Kadris wanted.

well, for what's its worth, i feel the following timescale would be realistic given that Ry has been seen to by healers:

the broken bones, general cuts and bruises etc, would heal within about a month.

the severed limbs should probably take up to 6 months the grow back to their fully functional state.

the electrocution injuries range from contact burns to synaptic (brain function) disruption and would also probably heal within a month.

The mental reprecussions of this level of torture are likely to be far more severe than the physical (for a troll at least) and this is what will be most likely to affect Ryleen's character from here.

I think I might shorten down the time for the limbs to grow back somewhat though. How long did it take for Gul'zayne to heal when he had an arm and a leg ripped off? Main reason to shorten it is practicality. Playing a so severely handicapped character will be an interesting challenge, but maybe not for half a year.

And yes, this is most likely going to affect Ry greatly personalitywise. I haven't decided exactly how though. While they did break her pretty thoroughly, almost to the point where she begged to die, she never surrendered. Into the last, she refused that single thing, even when she no longer really remembered what it was all about. Hmm... I'll have to think about this.

Gather some Witch Doctors, throw some Troll Blood potions in and take a week vacation and Ry should be up with all her limbs, ribs and so on.

Fair enough, i realise you don't want Ry to be recovering for that long. its not really practical tbh...How long did it take for Ry's fingers to grow back when s-troll cut them off though?

Also, its likely that by using magic and potions you could cut my time-frame down a fair bit...but i was trying to add a touch of realsim so maybe there could be some other consequences for the increased rate of healing like more risk of insanity or having the limbs grow back but perhaps still be very painful, or even developing an addiction to the healing potions?

just some ideas...you don't have to use any of them of course
