Zinzal'jis Guide
First am gonna Explain how I plan/imagine, we will lift the curse on Ryleen and Roaklm. Secondly I will explain how we will deal with the tablets.
Purging the curse/evil spirit from An individual, wont be an easy task. I imagine Zinzal’ji will need the aid of at least Stargaazer, since she is our Medicine Womon. I arranged already that Vypra will come and help, so I think we got enough Shamans now (more are ofc. Welcome).
I also arranged that Skeen will tame a snake Ooc. Icl’y he has killed and bended a strong serpent spirit to his will. Zinzal’ji will siphon the serpent’s spiritual energies / mojo, in order to empower his “Cleanse Spirit” spell, which will be the key ingredient for the cleansing.
I understand we want to do this in a troll temple, possibly in “empty” Zul’gurub, so this is what we do. First we meet in Grom’gol. When all are present Zinzal’ji will lead the trolls deep into stranglethorn Vale. At a remote location (close to the Instance), I will emote:
“Zinzal’ji reveals a secret path”.
From hereon we go OOC. I will lead you to Zul’gurub, and show the way into “empty” Zul’gurub. - Very Easy.
Once inside we go to a special spot (which I prior have chosen), and from there we go IC again. This is how it goes:
“And so Zinzal’ji revealed a secret path. They stock close together, for it was dark. At a point, they could finally see a light, and when they emerged on the other side, they were baffled at what they saw…”
From hereon we will go to one of the temples (should be decide ooc, by some of us, prior to the event).
The ritual
The Shamans (Zinzal’ji, Vypra and Stargaazer, so far), will place “Cleansing totems” around the subject, forming a triangle around the subject. Skeen will summon the Mighty serpent spirit, he has bended to his will. Zinzal’ji will then please the spirit so it will help them (through dancing etc. –everyone should dance ). Once the spirit has been subdued, Zinzal’ji will siphon it’s energy/mojo, thus empowering himself. Then the shamans, will place themselves at their casted Totem (cleansing totem, mentioned earlier) and begin to chant. We should throw Chain Healing waves on the subject simultaneously. As I can’t use the spell “clense spirit” on a target without any disease poison or curse. I will use a Riptide spell as a stand in for the animation, while emoting I am using “cleanse spirit”.
This we will do twice, as we need to cleanse both Ryleen and Rokalm .
Dealing with the Tabltets
I understand, Rokalm has found out that the tablets are actually originally used to Weaken a person, so Hakkar the soul flayer, can easier manipulate this person into his command.
- I imagine, that the Tablet(s) are haunted by a powerful Wind serpent spirit.
Eiseth, suggested that we should just use a hammer and smash the tablet(s), and be over with it. But however, this is NOT without risk, as the spirit haunting the tablets, likely has been incarnated into it, though powerful voodoo, which means that if it is destroyed, the spirit will be unlashed, and will attack the responsible. A spirit used for such tablets, are without doubt viciously strong, and it would be foolish, let alone catastrophic to challenge it head on.
However Eiseth idea is not half bad…
The tablet needs to be destroyed and a hammer sure could do the work. What we need is a strong spiritual weapon that can not only physically destroy the tablet, but also deal with the spirit within. For this I would like to use the:
“Mallet of Zul’Farrak.
Since the latest patches the Mallet is no longer a tool needed to summon a boss in ZF, but now a weapon, players can wield. However the story is still the same. The change was made to make Zf easier, but the lore is still, that this sacred hammer is needed to summon the Great Spirit worshipped by the Sand fury tribe. The reason I like to use this hammer, is not only for the great RP change, we get, when we create it, but also the fact that such an imbued weapons sure should be able to deal with a spirit servant of hakkar. – Note that the Hammer is made by the Trolls of the hinterlands whom are known to have parted side with the atal’ai. So it is likely that it is made to summon an underling of Hakker. Also note, that in order to summon Hakkar in Zul’gurub, the Atal’ai needed some knowledge from tablets found within ZF (Players are tricked into retrieving the tablets, by an agent of the Atal’ai in Tanaris), this making it more clear that the Sandfury are also connected to Hakkar in some way.
I think it would be cool, if it was Rokalm who Wielded the Hammer. Since it was him who got cursed by the tablet first, and brought the curse on a close friend, I am sure he urge for vengeance
This event should be made after the cleansing ritual. Zinzal’ji will ask brave adventures of the heritage to venture into ZF, and recover an Ancient Tablet. Zinzal’ji will then read the tablet, and then directs the adventures to The highlands where we will make the hammer. Once it is made, we will destroy the tablet for good! Either in Empty Zul’gurub, or by the Jinthar’alor Altar.
If Skeen can Tame a WInd serpent, we can use it as the Spirit Within the tablet. Rokalm wil Emote, he destroys it, and Skeen will Challenge him to a duel, and summoun the Wind serpent. Rokalm will then defeat it, weilding the Mallet.
This is how I suggest we could handle this great story, Rokalm started. I hope you like it, and that I haven’t missed any lore, made by both bliz, and Rokalm himself. Cheers mate, good work!

Re: Zinzal'jis Guide
You have put a lot of thought into this and it sounds great
The point of having more shaman is really that the curse is being 'powered' by Hakkar so it will take a few of us to be able to counter it. However, if we don't get more, we can still do it...it will just give us the chance to say the curse is perhaps not -fully- removed...but i guess its up to Ry and Rok how much longer they want to continue this?
i was thinking of using my fire elemental to 'help' too. Fire can be used to cleanse and purify (in fact that's part of what fire festivals are about) so it would be a little extra thing we can do as Vyp isn't excactly the worlds most accomplished healer in the conventional sense but she is very strong with the fire spirit

Re: Zinzal'jis Guide
Its incredible how you combined Blizzard lore, guild lore and Rokalms story! This event idea and the detailed guide how it could (and imo should work!) is awesome! This makes me sorry I have no character in HoZ
Re: Zinzal'jis Guide
This is great stuff Zinzal'ji, you really have thought things through and we could all create a fantastic spectacle together.
One technical problem for Skeen is that he can only be accompanied by one pet at a time so after the Emperor Cobra part of the ritual is done there must be an IC reason for Skeen to leave, then I can scuttle off to Grom'Gol stables and get the Wind Serpent and come back. Perhaps the ritual with the first snake will exhaust me so much I have to withdraw.
Hunters' Aspect Of The Viper briefly displays a serpent motif as a flash above the caster, which may be useful.
When I have challenged Rokalm to duel (under the evil influence of the Tablet) I will then collapse (using feign death) and allow him to fight and subdue the Windserpent, after which I can be revived.

I think the idea was more about Rokalm challenging your wind serpent (aka the Evil Spirit) to a duel, not actually involving you in a fight directly. When I have challenged Rokalm to duel (under the evil influence of the Tablet)

Would really love to if I would be invited but I cant for far too many reasons
And as to the event as it one, this plot is genious in my opinion! This is what Zandalar is about: Fighting Hakkar and its minions so the whole ritual, the role of every member in it, the way of performing is worth to be mentioned as a example for troll RP on every RP realm
Re: Zinzal'jis Guide
It sounds like a great, well-planned event, that involves much of the troll lore!
Gen'jin, you make Papa Snicka proud!

I won't be able to attend it if it is at Friday so I hope it will be on Sunday.

Well, you can't have a proper exorcism without someone being exorcised, so you're sort of... necessary for the ritual, Rokalm.
This reminds me of the HoZ'j event, where we attempted to resurrect Ras'teth - we gathered for it, waited for an hour and so, until we cancelled the event. The next day we learned that she couldn't attend for some urgent reason...
Re: Zinzal'jis Guide
lol, i remember that!
Sunday is better for me too actually. goning to have a lot to do on friday and not even sure what time i'll be getting in from work...oh, and while i think on it...are we having the friday night dinner in Org this week or is Ry still in nagrand?

Re: Zinzal'jis Guide
Kinda seems settled then. Sunday is is then. Any objections?
Hmm, since it's a sunday we should be able to do it during the day, rather than the usual evening events
Am home the whole Sunday, i can stand rdy from 6:00 to 23:59 ^^
