Guild Meeting on 26th January 2009 Empty Guild Meeting on 26th January 2009

Post  Zanick Sat Jan 31, 2009 3:46 pm

This meeting took place just after the duel to decide upon Ryleen's guilt or innocence of the accusation of treason. In the duel, which took place just at the edge of Sen'jin Village, Garviel, acting as Ryleen's champion, beat the orc Krohlm, the champion chosen by the Warsong Blades. Ryleen was therefore proved innocent by the orcs' own traditional ways.

At the meeting that followed were Ryleen, Stargaazer, Chabat, Gen'jin, Corigo, Lyranne and myself.

First of all we met Zuljah, a young troll priestess, who had approached us after the duel. She is keen to learn more about troll heritage and to get help to progress in her studies. Zuljah was welcomed as an Outsider of the Guild. We hope that she will soon prove herself worthy to take the oath and be promoted to the rank of Kindred.

Another troll had also spoken to several of us after the duel. This one introduced himself as Trorner and he says he used to be one of Shadowtroll's crew of pirates. However, he now claims to hate his former pirate leader because of his bad manners towards ladies. Trorner was also keen to join our guild, even though I explained that Shadowtroll has been our enemy for a long time and that some within our guild will never trust one of his pirates.

All of us are naturally wary of accepting one of Shadowtroll's crew into our midst. Gen'jin and Corigo in particular were against letting him join. But it is possible that Trorner just made a bad decision early in life and fell in with bad company. Perhaps he now truly wishes to amend his ways. After much debate I decided that Trorner should be given the chance to prove that his determination to join our guild is genuine. I will therefore set him a difficult task to complete before he is accepted as an Outsider amongst us. If he passes this first test, he will still need to prove his honesty before he could be made a Kindred.

Ryleen reported that Gando has been called to join the army in Northrend. He may be missing from our guild gatherings for some time while he fulfils his military duties. We will all say a special prayer to the Loa to lend him extra strength and keep him safe from harm.

I suggested that we start Lyranne's Bloodsister Ritual on the next moon-day instead of our regular guild meeting. I will contact Voodoomaster Gul'Zayne to check if moon-day is suitably auspicious for such an event. I will announce the arrangements for the ritual as soon as I can.

Finally, Gen'jin performed a special Spirit Link Ritual for our newest member, Zuljah. On a small rise within sight of the meeting hut, Gen'jin set out a ring of totems and bound Zuljah's spirit-consciousness to those of the rest of us. Now she too can communicate with us when she needs to.

Ah about Trorner, its tbh not exactly true that he was a part of my guild, its a alt of a young lad who is at least trying to RP. He has been on his main for some time in the Bloodsail Blackhands left and later begged me to accept his lvl 5 troll into it...he never again logged on and after 14 days of inactivity according to my guild rules was removed.

Ehm, yea hes not that what many call a talented RPer so watch out, he contacted me these days on this char to explain me this and started on whisp chat to RP trying to convince me for some stuff etc. ((He said hes fucking nervous about your task because he believes you will send him to Searing Gorge to survive a hour or something...))

My point is to take these things in consideration. (at least OOC)

Guess thats my two cents...ah and sorry to hear Ryleen is innocent pirat

Thanks for this information Shadowtroll.

We certainly wouldn't be so nasty as to send him somewhere so dangerous, but . . . if Trorner the ex-pirate is going to convince us that he truly wants to be a trustworthy member of our guild then the task cannot be easy.

I will make a separate thread in the 'Secrets' section, so that members know what task I have set for him.

Well as said he joined after a half way successful RP interview and never again logged in until one day I see him whisping me and complaining why he was kicked. Now Vypra , I though to give him a chance too but he never really used it, anyhow I hope for him and for all of us that he at least wants to learn to RP proper, I tried and failed by teaching him so.

Ah well his character never really was a pirate either but he said and I quote:" I made up a story..." He didnt explained what or how ehm so I have no idea what he will tell ye or already told you.

About Searing Gorge? Why not, I dont mind Very Happy

Ah I know its kinda the totally wrong place but feel free to move/delete this post later if required.

Shadowtroll is planning a lil attack (again...doh) anyhow the thing is, I feel like things can get too easy out of control and thats why I go back to something I try normally to avoid, and thats at least a 'bit' scripted, from own experience I know how stupid a event can become when the 'bad guys' show up...again...and again...and ruin events who are supposed to be friendly and relaxing.

As said I dont like scripted RP but at least maybe a date and some time where we could 'accidentally' come across each other or something, its not planned in any way that a side wins or loses, I would like to let this random happen since its sort of interesting this way.

Cross guild conflicts should be handled carefully and a bit OOC too after my experience with other guilds, as I assume we are all (good?) RPErs we wont let it come so far but still.

Shad

To be really honest with you, Shad, I think you passed that limit quite some time ago. Some thing has to change before the "war" with the pirates can feel fun again. But that's just my opinon and in no way the official opinion of HoZ, I'll let Zan or someone else speak for that Wink

I know guess why I try well to put it in order again, I had done some quite silly and stupid mistakes in conflict RP and later when I started organizing open RP events who are supposed to be friendly and quite I can fully understand your opinion because its mine as well.
