Moonlight over a silent grave. Gen'jins Feelings. Empty Moonlight over a silent grave. Gen'jins Feelings.

Post  Gen'jin Tue Dec 09, 2008 2:10 am

It was a silent December night. No clouds was to be found in the sky, and there was no need for torches, for the moonlight was more bright that usual, though the shadow still fell upon most of the land, as dark as oblivion itself. A village lay silent, close to the shore. The land itself was not however silent. The waves clashing on the shore, the grasshoppers serenade and the small night animals moving around in the bushes. Not far from the village, a graveyard be found. Toombstomes, Grave-jars and memorials stand tall, as termitarys on the Savanna. Though they all seems to have standed there for many winters, marked by the weather and covred with spiders wep, one grave-jar stands out. Yet to be marked, by the passing time, it stands. Like the other grave-jars it has been carfully placed in the ground, making it standing firm and tall. The village inhabitants sleeps with a grievous mind, mourning the loss of a friend. Even the Moon seems to have noticed the new resident of the graveyard, and shines more brightly on the grave-jar, standing out from the other. From the shadows steps a tall figure. Pointy ears, a darkgreen mane, glowing red eyes, and upswipt curved tusks from his mouths left and right side.

Gen'jin walks slowly towards Jimar's grave-jar. He lets out a ong drawn sigh, and kneels down. He digs up a handfull of loose soil around the jar, peers on it, then lets the loose sand slip through his fingers, letting the wind carry it away. Gen'jin then sits down in front of the jar, with the reminds of his Guild-comrade. after a short pause, he then utters "Hey, dere mon". The jar remains silent in the moonlight. Gen'jin looks down in the sand, grinning as he, with a sigh in his voice, says: "Heh wat did I expect? 'E can't 'ear me..". A few minues passes, as He sits back, and peers up at the night-sky. Sudenly he expresses:"Ey Jimar... am sorry.". He then pauses for a moment, peers at the Jimar's jar and sighs, then continues: "Am sorry I..I didn't Express much feelings at yer funeral taday. Am just not good at expressing meself, when it comes ta dat.". Gen'jin leds out a loong-drawn Sigh. "I guess it aint me nature. I always try ta behave myself, an' make an eksample. I..I want ta show myself as a strong an Vaillant Troll.". Gen'jin sighs yet again, and again peers up in the sky. "Sometimes I doubt it though. Dat I am as strong as I tell meself I be. Heh, I mean, I could't even save you, even though I tried, I could't.". He folds his hands, and leans forward. "I just ain't strong enough! If I just had been strong enough, ta go ta Northrend wiv ya all. I might had been able ta save ya. Instead I counted on a meer potion, ta do my job...". Gen'jin pics up a small rock, and hurls it in the distance. He then gets up, and looks at Jimars grave. he notices a wet area. For a moment, he ponders wether it was is his own tears, or Someone elses, that made the wet spot, but then leaves the thought, as he notices a cold wind blowing in from the sea, and small rain drops falling from the sky. He wonders where the storm came from, as there was no cloud in the skys only a moment ago, but then seeks shelder from the storm.

Very nice Gen'jin. I loved the sense of the atmosphere you gave there. Technically, its not bad either. You just need to check your past tense. I've pm'd you a spelling and grammar checked version (note, i don't always agree with Word's grammar rules and i mostly left the 'troll-speak' parts alone. Wink )

Nice work, Gen'jin. You expressed the feelings of regret very well, I thought.
