Character class: Warrior.
Character level: 6 (probably higher after tonight).
Professions: Engineering and Mining.
Why do you want to join us?: I've got a lot of characters,including multiple level 70's. The roleplay isn't outstanding on my main server (maybe I'm not in the right guild, too) and I've only rolled normal roleplay servers up until now. A RPPVP server looked really interesting, so I've been browsing the realm forums and this guild looked really promising and fun. Next to that, I want to meet new people.
How often do you play WoW?: Daily.
Roleplaying experience: I've been roleplaying for quite some time on Warcraft 3 (before the Frozen Throne). I do forum roleplay, too (although to a lesser extend).
Character history: I'm not getting in the details yet, but it'll involve a journey, engineering, and a Gnome friend. Yes, you read that right. A Gnome friend.
Notes: For some reason, I'm always bad at making up IC reasons to find someone out, or to get to know about something. If there's any chance of joining for me, I'd like some help on that if possible.

I can't really add anything to what Zanick said.
I was just wondering, how do you roleplay in Warcraft III? It's a strategy game with not much chance to actually roleplay...

Yeah, I thought it was weird at first too. However...

Turned out you have special player-made maps with cool terrain. In these maps you can utilize 'commands' to 'spawn' units and create anything you like. You can call the players the 'gods' of the world, because they can control nearly every aspect of the map. Unfortunately, they can also mass-spawn units for example. You've got the host (who has special ban/kick commands) to get rid of these idiots. It's really fun, but it takes some time to learn because there are countless commands available.

I'll try to attend your upcoming meeting this Monday. Shouldn't be a problem, so expect me showing up. Hopefully I´ll have those engineering goggles by then....

Please post links to good WarCraft 3 RP maps? I must try it! Do you play on an official b.net server, or a private server?

I play on official B.net servers of course. The service is free, and the gameplay is awesome. List of awesome maps:

Rabbits vs. Sheep.
DotA(rd). Yes, this actually can be fun once in a while.
Tides of Blood. DotA(rd) based, you take control of a hero and try to win by killing your opponents and destroy your enemies' base. Custom skins.
Age of Myths. Like Tides of Blood, but the heroes you can play are more awesome. Custom skins.
Adventh of the Zenith. Like Age of Myths and Tides of Blood, but the heroes you can play have by far the coolest moves and skins.
Secrets of the Depths Roleplay. Dubbed SotDRP, has different terrains, not reccommended as beginner due to the large amount of commands. People new to this map are often kicked.
World War (mass mortar team for the win).
Rise of China. Great strategy map.
Fall of Rome. ^ ^
Dragon Ball Z Tribute. This can be fun pounding the crap out of people who think they're good at this.

Can't currently think of anything else, but maybe you'd like to try a few of these.

DotA? I'm a big DotA player, it's the only thing I play when I'm not playing WoW, but I've never RP'd in a game of DotA to be honest... hmm, perhaps I'll try it out...
