Guild meeting on 14th April Empty Guild meeting on 14th April

At the start of the meeting we welcomed a new member, Zakirma. a novice priest.

This was another well-attended meeting, but this time we had one troll too many . . .

Barzovia (a troubled and troublesome, and potentially dangerous former member of our guild) turned up unexpectedly to our meeting. We couldn't tell if he truly has had his tongue cut out (as he previously claimed) or if he just chose to remain silent. He made no response to our challenges. So, in order to discuss guild business without Barzovia's interference, Umagaur used his magic to make a temporary mind-link between the guild members.

I reported that Tempeste, a tauren druid, has left the guild. Umagaur discovered that Tempeste was selling valuable items from the guild bank and making crude attempts to hide his dishonourable deeds. When I asked Tempeste for an explanation, he simply replied that he needed the money. I decided to speak to him face-to-face and almost certainly to kick him out, but before I could arrange this he left the guild. Since then, he has sent me several abusive messages and I have decided to ignore him. This was a sad end to a promising partnership.

We also discussed Ashya's departure from our guild. She spoke to several of us a day or two before the meeting. It was clear that she had made up her mind that her life needed to take a different path to ours. So, with heavy hearts, we wished her well in her new guild, Haven. May the ancestor spirits watch over her and guide her steps.

Ryleen reported that she had received a message from the Grimwolves. They denied Shadowtroll's claim that the Grimwolves hated all trolls. In fact, they have offered to help us hunt down this pirate-rogue, Shadowtroll, and put an end to his threats against Ryleen and Gando. If we accept their help, we will need to be sure to explain the situation to the Greywolf Tribe, the guild from whom many of the Grimwolves split, becuase they might feel betrayed by us. We would need to make it clear that we are only accepting help from the Grimwolves to deal with Shadowtroll, and that we are not forming any lasting friendship with them.

I had hoped to go on to discuss planned trips to go adventuring in Razorfen Kraul and to Zul'Farrak, but unfortunately the strain of taking part in the mind-link became too much for our blood elf emissary, Deyyania. She was in great pain and eventually she became unconscious. I suspect that Barzovia might have been responsible in some way, but we could find no evidence of this. We finished the meeting immediately. Ryleen, Kemsha and Umagaur looked after Dey until she recovered enough to travel to Thunder Bluff. The meddlesome Barzovia stayed on until all of us had left Sen'jin.

I am pleased to report that Dey seems to be fully recovered now. But we cannot use a mind-link again if Dey is present.

It seems that we will have to choose a new venue for our weekly meetings if we are to avoid Barzovia's unwanted presence. I will inform everyone of the place for the next meeting on the day itself. There is also the possibility that Barzovia was told of our meeting by an informer from within our guild . . .! We must all be vigilant.

I don't think Barzovia had anything to do with it...At least I hope he didn't.

I cannot apologise enough for the disruption of the last tribal meeting. If I had known I would react so badly, I would have said. I guess I should have known something would happen when the message relayed came across as 'fuzzy' - but being the stubborn elf that I am, I tried to push myself through the discomfort. I apologise also, for any undue distress I put you through. I care about you all so much, that to think I made you worry...Oh, I just feel horrible.
I am better now though, and we know for next time.

I can report that my trip with Chabat and Kahl to Razorfen Kraul went rather smoothly. I think Chabat was a little hard on herself though. But she's a lovely troll, and eager to learn, which is always reassuring. I suggested to her to speak to Ryleen for any assistance, and Okay'ed it with Ry when we spoke yesterday. Talking of which...

Yesterday, whilst me and Ryleen were talking in Silvermoon, we kept spotting Barzovia. What he was doing there is anyones guess, but we both felt ill-at-ease. he eaves-dropped on part of a conversation we were having, and he said that 'the shaman should have known better' in regards to my reaction to the mind-link. He seemed positive that it was caused by my need of 'felmagic', as he put it. I said 'that could be it', he replied 'It is it'.
I must say, his knowledge frightens me, but also lends support that he may not have had anything to do with it. I'm still puzzled as to why he handed me that note, and I can't quite fathom if it's his way of asking me to trust him, or just to gamble on a proposition. "What have I got to lose"...That line...

Also yesterday, I aided Saiha in getting to hammerfall. He had been ambushed and left for dead in the Wetlands (at some expedition site). He was near deaths door, and the assailants had burnt and carved into his chest "I shouldn't hunt". I'm deeply concerned, as the message is an enigma to me. Also, I met Torschka, who assisted in the rescue. She disappeared, then returned with a leg injury. She played it down, and I didn't really get to say much to her, but I hope she is doing okay.

Also, if anyone wishes for assitnce in exploring dungeons and whatnot, remember that if Lyranne/Dey is not around, you can ask Whraenyyr or Slyraen, either they can help, or relay the message to me.

I don't think you should worry about what Barzovia says, Dey. It wouldn't be the first time he's making things up just to scare people, or get attention. Don't worry about what he said until you've heard it from someone else too. I don't think his word alone is anything to rely on.

Good advice Ry, maybe I should seek out someone else and get their advice. It's just knowing where to start.

Guild meeting on 14th April Empty More about Barzovia

Post  Zanick Thu Apr 17, 2008 11:15 pm

If I remember correctly, after the meeting, Rezip informed me that he had seen Barzovia jump to his death from a cliff-top in Thunder Bluff. Apparently, Barzovia had decided to end his life and would never trouble us again.

But, knowing what Barzovia the trickster is like, we should all assume that he could still be around . . .

He did what? But why.. Why would he do something like that? He can't really have killed himself, can he?
